What is a Digital Tribute?
A digital video of photographs provided by you, the client, that we digitize and put on a DVD along with the music of your choice. See some samples here.
Why should I use Digital-Tributes?
We are nice! We make it a priority to work with you on your projects. These are your memories, not ours. Who else to lead us through the project but you. We make it a priority to remain in contact with you through the whole process. We also have a wealth of knowledge of the media being used. With over 15 years in the Media industry, we know what works and what doesn’t. We look forward to working with you on your project!
How long does it take?
As soon as we receive your photos and contact you for the final details we can provide a turnaround time. Typical turnaround is 48-72 hours. But if you need it sooner we can provide that as well.
How many photos do I need?
Here is a little chart:
- 25 Photos – 3.5 minutes
- 50 Photos – 7 minutes
- 100 Photos – 14 minutes
- Approximately 8 seconds/photo
Will Digital -Tributes touch up my photos?
Yes, we will do minor photo touch up. Removal of Red-eye, and minor imperfections in the photo will be fixed before going to DVD or Web. In addition to the final DVD, we provide you with a CD-Rom with all of your photos as digital files.
What type of photos will you take for my tribute?
We will take what ever you have. But the quality of the photos that you provide will be a direct reflection of the quality of the final DVD. If possible, .jpg, .tif, 200dpi or better. If your photos are not digital yet, we will scan them for you. Scanning prices are included in our package price.
I don’t want to send the originals, what do I do?
We get this question alot! At most places that you get your film developed there is a scanning station. You can scan the pictures yourself, and burn out a CD-R with the digital photos on it. You keep the originals, and send us the CD-R with the digital photos.
If I provide you a digital copy of my photos do I get a discount on my package?
Scanning is only a fraction of the cost of our packages. A 5% discount will be added to your package if ALL photos come to us as digital files.
How do I order?
You can order 2 ways. You can call us on the phone and place an order that way. Or you can print out the Order Form and mail it in with your photos. Be sure to insure your photos, Digital-Tributes is not responsible for lost or stolen photos while in transit. When your package arrives, a representative will contact you to gather additional information.
Can I add video to my DVD?
Sure! We can take your videos and add them to your DVD. Please refer to the Order Form for pricing.
Can I use copywritten music?
In order for us to use copy-written music, you must provide us a CD (not a CD-R) of the original music. If that is not possible we can purchase the song on your behalf, and return the song with your photos.
